Déplacement displays a man in frontal view who keeps his eyes opened, without blinking, while the television screen shows a landscape. As the sources of sensations are multiplied (the warmth of the air-heater, the air of the fan, the image in the TV, its reflection on the surface of the table), contact with oneself grows deeper. This video is part of Croisement/ Cruzamentos, a video project whose objective is to explore the concept of “americanidad” through an exchange between artists from Montreal (Canada) and Goiânia (Brazil). |
Déplacement présente un homme vu de face qui garde les yeux ouverts pendant qu’un paysage défile à la télévision. Tandis que se multiplient les sensations (la chaleur du calorifère, le déplacement d’air du ventilateur, l’image de la télé, son reflet sur la surface de la table), alors s’approfondit le contact avec soi. Cette vidéo fait partie de Croisement/ Cruzamentos, un projet vidéo sur la notion d’américanité entre le Brésil et le Canada. Le projet consiste en une publication regroupant les textes et les oeuvres vidéographiques sur DVD de neuf jeunes artistes. |
